This heart-wrenching aria is adored by all audiences. Even without words, the melody is tragically beautiful and brings tears to the eyes of the listener. This brass quintet arrangement features the flugelhorn (or optional trumpet) as Dido. It is basic enough on the surface that it can be played by "Level 2" ensembles. But of course it can be presented by professional ensembles with first rate artistic expression and it will be the highlight of any recital program.
This piece is also short enough that it can fit beautifully into an education program without boring our younger listeners!
